Towers are the core of Cursed Treasure 2. They are your main line of defense against the "heroes" trying to steal your gems; knowing how to use them to their full potential is the key to success. 

Tower Basics Edit

There are three types of towers, one for each race (Orcs, Undead, and Demons). Each tower can only be built on certain terrain; Grass for Dens, Snow for Crypts, and Rock for Temples. 

Each tower has 3 basic attributes, which reflects their utility in battle. 

  • Damage: How much health an enemy will lose from each shot of the tower. 
  • Recharge: The length of time between a tower's shots; the lower the number, the faster it can fire. 
  • Range: The tower's "sight" limit; any enemies that are closer than that will be attacked. 

In addition to the above attributes, some towers have one or more special abilities that enhances them in some way. 

Towers gain experience by attacking enemies (or over time, if you have ranks in the "Home Front" skill). When a tower gains enough experience, you can pay gold to upgrade it, increasing its stats. When a tower reaches level 3, it can be upgraded into a Tier 2 tower; all three towers have two divergent options with specialized roles. When a tower reaches level 5, it can be upgraded into a Tier 3 tower, which unlocks its full potential. There are three Tier 3 towers for each race: a direct upgrade of each Tier 2 tower (only accessible from that specific tower type) and an alternate option that combines elements of both towers, or that creates an entirely different offense. 

Orc TowersEdit

The Dens are versatile towers that shoot different sized arrows at different speeds. The fully upgraded Dens can deal heavy splash damage or shoot extremely fast. Dens have the highest raw damage output out of the 3 tower types.

Sniper's Den 2 The luckiest orcs may become snipers. Sometimes they manage to hit the sore points of an enemy and cause double damage.

Critical Hit: Has a 10% chance to cause double damage "Impressive!" Sniper's Den 2
Sniper's Den 2 2 The luckiest orcs may become snipers. Sometimes they manage to hit the sore points of an enemy and cause double damage.

Damage: 13

Recharge: 1.5 seconds

Range: 5 Tiles

Critical Hit: Has a 15% chance to cause double damage "Impressive!"

Ballista Den 2 The Ballista is very inaccurate. But it doesn't need accuracy - its missile is so powerful that it will hit somebody for sure.

Damage: 15

Recharge: 3 seconds

Range: 7 Tiles

Splash Damage: Causes damage to all the enemies within the range of 1.8 tiles by the point where the missile hits. "KAOOOOOM!" Ballista Den 2

Bunker Den 3 R.J.Gobling's crossbows shoot bolts with incredible speed. Even the unluckiest orc holding such a weapon equals a sniper.

Damage: 3

Recharge: 0.2 seconds

Range: 5 Tiles

Critical Hit: Has 50% chance to cause double damage "That's a damn minigun!"  Fully upgraded!
Rocket Den 3 Rockets are more accuracte than ballistas and catapults. But unfortunately they have less explosive. The guilty engineers were punished.

Damage: 15

Recharge: 1 seconds

Range: 7 Tiles

Critical Hit: Has 15% chance to cause double damage

Splash Damage: Causes damage to all the enemies within the range of 1 tiles by the point where the missile hits.

"One small step for an orc, one giant kick for mankind!" Fully upgraded!
Catapult Den 3 The catapult is as inaccurate as the Ballista, but its shots shatteres splinters, when exploding. A real weapon of mass destruction.

Damage: 25

Recharge: 3 seconds

Range: 7 Tiles

Splash Damage: Causes damage to all the enemies within the range of 1.8 tiles by the point where the missile hits.

Sharpnel: The missile smashes into 3 splinters, when hitting. They also deal splash damage upon landing. 

"The orcs split the bomb; now the bomb is splitting foes." Fully upgraded!

Undead TowersEdit

The Crypts aren't the fastest or most damaging towers but upgraded Crypts freeze or frighten enemies, making them good for controlling enemies near a narrow passage or the gems. Their targeting projectiles also allow them to potentially hit enemies out of range. Crypts are the more tactical of the tower types but their ability to cripple an enemy wave should not be underestimated.

- Dreadful Crypt

Frosty Crypt 2 The Laboratory of Frost significantly improved the Crypt. An additional charge that slows enemies down, was added.

Damage: 10

Recharge: 3 seconds

Range: 5 Tiles

Charges: The tower accumulates up to 3 charges if there are not enemies within the attack range.

Frosty Orb: The tower makes an additional charge every 7 seconds. When this charge explodes it slows down all the nearby enemies.

"Winter is coming." Frosty Crypt 2
Frosty Crypt 2 2 The Laboratory of Frost significantly improved the Crypt. An additional charge that slows enemies down, was added.

Damage: 13

Recharge: 3seconds

Range: 5 Tiles

Charges: The tower accumulates up to 3 charges if there are not enemies within the attack range.

Frosty Orb: The tower makes an additional charge every 7 seconds. When this charge explodes it slows down all the nearby enemies.

- Icy Crypt

- Lightning Crypt

Dreadful Crypt 2 A graduate of the College of Terror is the head of this crypt. Every charge has a chance to drive enemies away in fear. 


Damage: 10

Recharge: 3 seconds

Range: 5 Tiles

Charges: The tower accumulates up to 3 charges if there are not enemies within the attack range.

Frightening: 20% chance to frighten an enemy. The frightened enemy runs back for some time.

"Fear cuts deeper than swords." Dreadful Crypt 2
Dreadful Crypt 2 2 A graduate of the College of Terror is the head of this crypt. Every charge has a chance to drive enemies away in fear. 


Damage: 13

Recharge: 3 seconds

Range: 5 Tiles

Charges: The tower accumulates up to 3 charges if there are not enemies within the attack range.

Frightening: 20% chance to frighten an enemy. The frightened enemy runs back for some time.

- Shattering Crypt

Icy Crypt 3 The summit of the Laboratory of Frost engineering development. A special additional charge complete freezes intruders. 

Damage: 15

Recharge: 3 seconds

Range: 7 Tiles

Charges: The tower accumulates up to 3 charges if there are not enemies within the attack range.

Icy Orb: The tower makes an additional charge every 5 seconds. When this charge explodes it freezes all the nearby enemies.

"Ah, dessert! Chilled monkey brains."  Fully upgraded!
Lightning Crypt 3 Equipped with the best copper leads and gold contacts, Lightning Crypt recharges very quickly and instantly hits enemies. 

Damage: 15

Recharge: 1 seconds

Range: 6 Tiles

Charges: The tower accumulates up to 3 charges if there are not enemies within the attack range.

"Electricity is really just organized lightning." Fully upgraded!
Shattering Crypt 3 The perfect crypt created by the College of Terror uses a part of a victim's soul to extend its charge lifespan and to make it bounce into another nearby enemy. 

Damage: 15

Recharge: 3 seconds

Range: 5 Tiles

Charges: The tower accumulates up to 3 charges if there are not enemies within the attack range.

Frightening: 15% chance to frighten an enemy. The frightened enemy runs back for some time.

Chaining: When the charge hits the enemy it bounces off and damages the nearest enemy. It may bounce off unlimited amount of times.

"Them that die'll be the lucky ones." Fully upgraded!

Demon TowersEdit

The Temples have low range but Upgraded Temples burn multiple enemies at a time with a fairly high damage output, and their flame rays don't have a recharge, sans the Temple of Inferno. They are good at dealing chip damage and wear away enemies for other towers to finish them off.

- Temple of Inferno

Temple of Overseer 2 From the high of his temple, the Overseer can watch 2 victims at once. "To watch" means "to destroy".

Damage: 4

Recharge: 0 second

Range: 4.2 Tiles

Countinuous Fire: The tower doesn't waste time recharging. It causes damage to an enemy every 0.5 seconds.

Multiocular: The tower may shoot at 2 different enemies simultaneously.

"His gaze pierces cloud, shadow, earth, and flesh!" Temple of Overseer 2
Temple of Overseer 2 2 From the high of his temple, the Overseer can watch 2 victims at once. "To watch" means "to destroy".


Damage: 4

Recharge: 0 second

Range: 5 Tiles


Countinuous Fire: The tower doesn't waste time recharging. It causes damage to an enemy every 0.5 seconds.

Multiocular: The tower may shoot at 2 different enemies simultaneously.

"His gaze pierces cloud, shadow, earth, and flesh!"

- Temple of Beholder

- Temple of Ifrit

Temple of Inferno 2 The fire is living too. It swallows any amount of creatures, that turn to be on the territoty of its Temple.

Damage: 20

Recharge: 4 seconds

Range: 4 Tiles

Area Damage: The tower hits all the enemies within its shooting range at once.

"Abandon all hope, ye who enter here..." Temple of Inferno 2
Temple of Inferno 2 2 The fire is living too. It swallows any amount of creatures, that turn to be on the territoty of its Temple.


Damage: 23



Recharge: 4 second

Range: 4 Tiles

Area Damage: The tower hits all the enemies within its shooting range at once.

"Abandon all hope, ye who enter here..."

- Temple of Ifrit

- Temple of Hellfire

Temple of Beholder 3 The Beholder's eyes are waiting for the passers-by to scrutinize them. To scrutinize and to roast.

Damage: 4

Recharge: 0 second

Range: 6 Tiles


Countinuous Fire: The tower doesn't waste time recharging. It causes damage to an enemy every 0.5 seconds.



Multiocular: The tower may shoot at 3 different enemies simultaneously.

"We see dead people. " Fully upgraded!
Temple of Ifrit 3 The Ifrit is powerful and brutal. Jinni grants a wish and Ifrit grants a burn.

Damage: 5

Recharge: 0 second

Range: 5 Tiles

Countinuous Fire: The tower doesn't waste time recharging. It causes damage to an enemy every 0.5 seconds.

Splash Damage: Causes damage to all the enemies with in the range of 1.8 tiles by the point where the missile hits.

"His teeth were like large stones, his nostrils ewers, his eyes two lamps, and his look was fierce and lowering." Fully upgraded!
Temple of Hellfire 3 All the space around this Temple is pervaded with fire. This fire is inexhaustible. 

Damage: 4

Recharge: 0 seconds

Range: 4 Tiles

Countinuous Fire: The tower doesn't waste time recharging. It causes damage to an enemy every 0.5 seconds.

Area Damage: The tower hits all the enemies within its shooting range at once.

"If you're going through hell, keep going." Fully upgraded!
